If you didn’t add the ‘www’ prefix at the time of setting up the domain, even adding it back in later doesn’t seem to work. This fault seems to be present within all current versions of Plesk up to my current version v9.2
To work around this problem, firstly – turn on the ‘www’ prefix again within the Plesk control panel.
Domains > yourdomain.com > Modify > WWW Prefix – Tick this box
The www prefix will still not work… to correct this, we need to re-build the Apache config after turning it back on:
/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -v -a

Hi Mik,
could you send me that file? I don’t seem to have it any more..?! Others are there (webmailmng and webstatmng) but not websrvmng. I fear I might have overwritten it somehow..
Hmmm – If you don’t have one of the core files, it may be that you have a bad install. Not sure whether just sending you the file would even help. Have you tried the Plesk forums http://forum.parallels.com/ ?
not sure if I’m doing something wrong but it hasn’t solved my problem. Any advice?
@bbt – Unfortunately there could be a whole host of things that could be causing your issue. Without knowing more specifics, it is hard to guess. If you simply forgot to tick the WWW box when creating the domain, the above fix has worked for me numerous times… but if your problem is not fixed after following the above, then maybe it might be worth checking your DNS entries – ensure that you have a WWW pointer in there.
I am running apache with nginx as a proxy server and plesk control panel. I restarted my httpd and nginx, they start working but when i am restarting plesk by this command, start psa service – on centos operating system. It is not starting itself and drwebd service. Please help me to start my server with plesk.
When i give this command, It shows the error like…..
Starting plesk…. failed
starting drwebd services…. failed.
